Annual General Meeting
ACES’ First Conference of the Year
The Annual General Meeting is a fall gathering between the ACES Executive, commissioners, and its members. This conference is focused on group discussions, allowing attendees to gain insight from each other and provide input into the growth and direction of ACES. During the General Assembly session, member representatives propose resolutions and vote on important motions that will impact engineering students across Atlantic Canada.
AGM2020 Goes Virtual
In fall 2020, AGM was hosted by the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton. With the transition to a virtual conference, the Annual General Meeting facilitated two streams of sessions for delegates to attend: the Professional Development Stream and the VP External Stream. This conference hosted roughly 100 virtual attendees and featured inclusivity training, a session on developing accessibility within engineering societies, a discussion on unconscious biases, and a session addressing how to develop soft skills as a professional.
