President
Nyah Lupick
Nyah Lupick (she/her/elle) is in her fourth year of Electrical Engineering with a certificate in Computer Engineering at Dalhousie University. She began her involvement in ACES as an IT Commissioner and then moved on to become the VP Finance last year. This year, she is excited to take on the role of President. She looks forward to supporting the ACES team and working with engineering regulators to better serve students. She is always looking for ways to improve ACES and the services it offers, so if you have any ideas, please reach out to her! Outside of school, Nyah enjoys reading, crocheting, watching anime, and wandering the Halifax waterfront.
As President, Nyah is responsible for:
Be ACES's official representative and spokesperson to all other students and professional and industry associations. Be a signing authority on all ACES bank accounts.
Maintain constant communication with the Atlantic Ambassador of the CFES regarding Atlantic-specific matters.
Ensure that ACES is represented at the Atlantic Engineering Competition.
Maintain all official documents of the organization and transition these documents to the incoming Executive.
Atlantic Ambassador
Jayden MacKenzie
Jayden MacKenzie (he/him/il) is entering his 1st year of a Masters of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at Dalhousie. He began his ACES involvement as the first Diploma School Engagement Commissioner before becoming the first Vice President Engagement. Last year, Jayden was the Chair of ACES as well as a National Councillor of the CFES. He is excited to be in the Atlantic Ambassador role for his final year of ACES involvement. Jayden cannot wait to help support Atlantic engineering students engage both at the regional and national levels. He cannot wait to help further improve the student experience of all ACES students. Representing ACES to the CFES’ Board of Directors
Communicating with and keeping all ACES members up to date on issues and information from the CFES
Wearing the ACES Sou’ Wester
Wearing and guarding Two Chainz at national conferences.
VP Communications
Chase MacMillan
Chase MacMillan (he/him/il) is in his fifth and final year of Sustainable Design Engineering at the University of Prince Edward Island. He is also currently serving as the VPC for the UPEI Engineering Society and just wrapped up his role as VPC for the Organizing Committee of the Summit on Development of Engineering Societies! Chase is excited to get to connect with all of the member societies in the region and work with them to increase communication streams to the general student bodies that ACES represents. Outside of Academics, he is a member of the UPEI Varsity Curling Team and serves as a board member for his local curling club.
As VP of Communications, Chase is responsible for:
Compiling and distributing ACES newsletters to provide updates to members
Maintaining and ensuring regular activity on ACES social media and communication platforms
Be responsible for the design and timely delivery of revenue-generating media and merchandise
Overseeing the IT Commissioners to ensuring that their mandates are met
Overseeing the EDB Commissioners to ensure that their mandates are met
VP Finance
Gian Damot
I am currently in my fourth year of Chemical Engineering at UNBF. My interests in ACES includes designing our merch and brainstorming possible new merch ideas for ACES! I am excited to be working with everyone in ACES, to learn and grow in this position. As the VPF, I am responsible for managing all of ACES funds and our merch orders. Fun fact, I got stuck in an elevator with my friends once!
As VP of Finance, Gian is responsible for:
Collecting and managing all membership fees and monies of ACES
Developing the annual ACES operating budget and keeping accurate records of all financial transactions
Actively seeking corporate sponsorship
Ensuring proper recording of conference finances

Lara Hickey
My name is Lara Hickey and I am in my third year of Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton and I am from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am this years Vice President of Engagement for ACES, and I am so excited to have this role! This year I am excited about starting the first ever ACES Podcast, and getting to know all the amazing student throughout Atlantic Canada's Engineering. My goal is to support all ACES schools with monthly meetings and helping to strategize solutions with Diploma school specific needs. Fun fact about me is that I can write completely backwards from right to left.

Kaitlyn Smith
Kaitlyn Smith (she/her) is in her forth (and final!!) year of the Sustainable Design Engineering program at the University of Prince Edward Island. She is excited to collaborate with the Activity Managers using her knowledge from previous chairing and organizing committees to help provide successful ACES Activities to the membership. Outside of ACES, she is the President for the UPEI Engineering society, coaches figure skating, and LOVES attending SpinCo.
As VP of Services, Kaitlyn is responsible for:
Providing and overseeing the development of professional and educational resources and services for members
Overseeing the planning of AEC, ELS, and AGM

Syed Imran Ali
I’m in my 3rd year of Sustainable Design Engineering at University of Prince Edward Island. I’m excited to get involved with ACES, as Finance Commissioner, and meet fellow engineering students from around Atlantic Canada. My career passion is for renewable energy, though ironically, I’m adrenaline addicted to driving large-engine vehicles.
Truth and Reconciliation Commissioner

I am currently in my second year of studying electrical engineering at Cape Breton University. I'm passionate about leadership, community engagement and helping build stronger connections between engineering students across the Maritimes. This year, I'm excited to be part of the new Truth and Reconciliation Commissioner role! It's an amazing opportunity to help build connections, share knowledge, and develop resources that support reconciliation efforts across ACES. Fun facts about myself I am Mi'kmaq from Epekwitk (P.E.I), I also play in two bands called Wam-pum/Iron Eagle and I love combining culture, creativity and skills into everything I do. As the new Truth and reconciliation commissioner commissioner I help promote awareness and education around indigenous history and reconciliation within ACES.

Julia Tran
Hello! I’m Julia, currently a second year civil engineering student at SMU. It’s my first year working with ACES and I’m excited to be involved in such an impactful organization. My main role is to bridge connections between diploma schools and providing solutions to issues faced within the Atlantic diploma school student bodies and societies. Fun fact about me is I was named after Julia Roberts! In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching old sitcoms, and spending time with my cat (tell yours I said pspsps). Evan Fisher
Evan Fisher (he/him) is a computer engineering student attending Dalhousie University. Having previously served as the President of the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Engineering Society, Evan brings forth experience in the operations of smaller schools’ societies. As a Diploma School Commissioner, he hopes to be able to share that experience to help other diploma schools grow through any struggles they may face. Outside of school, Evan is a Tae Kwon Do black belt and instructor.

Holding bi-monthly meetings to assist and assess challenges within engineering societies

Alex Baggio
Alex Baggio (he/him) is a third-year electrical engineering student at Dalhousie University. He currently serves as the IT Commissioner for ACES, where he aims to engage with engineering students across the Atlantic region. In addition to his involvement with ACES, Alex is also the Senior Design Director for the 2026 Atlantic Engineering Competition. He became interested in getting involved with student organizations and initiatives after competing at AEC for the past two years. Outside of academics, Alex enjoys skiing, playing guitar, and lifting.

Merna Elbehiry
Merna Elbehiry (She/Her) is a third-year Civil Engineering student at UNB and currently serves as the IT Commissioner for ACES. In her role, she helps maintain the society’s online platforms, keeps meeting minutes and documents accessible. This is her first year with ACES, and she’s excited to contribute to a more connected and engaging community. Merna is also involved with UNB Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS), and Enactus UNB, expanding her engagement across campus. Outside of academics, she enjoys rock music, swimming, drawing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
